The Indiana University Network Science Institute is seeking a backend software/systems engineer. If you join our IT team, you will be working on several projects related to misinformation and big data, in collaboration with our partners at the Observatory on Social Media. We are a small team so you will have a huge impact and the opportunity to take ownership over many of these projects.
The biggest technical requirements are Java, Python, Docker, and database experience, but we're flexible. Graph databases and basic frontend development experience are a huge plus.
We're returning to the office in the near future, so you'd need to work at least part-time on site in Bloomington, Indiana, a top-ranked college town, in the new Luddy Center for Artificial Intelligence. Salary will be around $60K or more depending on experience, plus generous benefits.
